November 12, 2013 by lzseleczky

IFPRI and its 2020 Vision Initiative are delighted to announce that H. E. Prime Minister Hailemariam Dessalegn of Ethiopia has agreed to inaugurate the 2020 conference on Building Resilience for Food and Nutrition Security on May 15, 2014. The Prime Minister met with Shenggen Fan, Director General of IFPRI, and Rajul Pandya-Lorch, Head of the 2020 Vision Initiative at IFPRI, on November 8, 2013, to discuss the conference. He noted that the topic of resilience is important and timely, especially as the African Union has declared 2014 the Year of Agriculture and Food Security. Further details about the conference program will be released in early 2014.
